Arlington National Cemetery:
is open to the public at 8:00am, 365 days a year. From April 1 to Sept.
30 the cemetery closes at 7:00pm. From October 1 to March 31 it closes
at 5:00pm. There is a $20-$25 bus parking fee which is the group’s
responsibility. School and civic organizations who want a wreath laying
at the Tomb of the Unknown must follow certain procedures. A representative
of the organization must write to Arlington National Cemetery, Attn: Public
Wreath Ceremonies, Arlington, VA 22211 on organizational letterhead. The
sender should indicate on the outside of the envelope that it is a "wreath-laying
request." This letter should provide complete contact information
(name, address, phone and fax number, and e-mail address), the requested
visit date, and schedule limitations. No fax, e-mail or telephone
requests are accepted. Once the request is received, a Public
Wreath Coordinator of Arlington National Cemetery will call to make further
arrangements and provide instructions only if the date/time is available.
Bureau of Engraving and Printing Tours:
is open from 9:00 am - 2:00pm Monday through Friday. The Bureau is closed
on weekends and federal holidays. Tours may be suspended if the Department
of Homeland Security raises the threat level to Orange. Visitors must
obtain free tickets for tours on a first-come, first-served basis beginning
at 8:00am each morning at the ticket booth on Raoul Wallenberg Place.
